ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. - In an effort to make sure Boilermaker runners arrive home safely, free taxi service will be available at the Post Race Party for Oneida County Residents.

The cab rides will be underwritten by the law firm of Brindisi, Murad, Brindisi, Pearlman & Pertz.

"We as an organization have always had a strong commitment to this community," said Louis T. Brindisi, founding partner of Brindisi, Murad, Brindisi, Pearlman & Pertz. "it makes sense that we partner with the biggest event that the community has."

The rides will be provided by City Cab from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 8.

In order for the runners to avail themselves of a ride, they must call the law firm, which will schedule the ride. The phone number for the Brindisi Law Firm is 315-733-2396. Rides are only to home addresses in Oneida County. Riders must provide a running bib to receive a ride and the pickup point will be located at the corner of Varick and Columbia Street.

"We ask our runners to practice safety when they are running the streets," said Jim Stasaitis, race director of the Boilermaker. "Likewise we want them to be safe after the race."
