UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Happy Anniversary to The Tram! Since opening in 2008, customers say it's provided not only provided great food but its also provided a great meeting place for people in Utica.

The Tramontane Cafe is located on Lincoln Avenue, but the 5 year anniversary party was held at The Uptown Theatre on Sunday night.

The owners wanted the celebration to mimic The Tram's Open Mic Night, so a different band or group took to the stage every ten minutes, performing everything from soul music to punk rock.

The Tram is a hot spot in the arts community- the owners love to showcase local talent.

"We have a gallery space that we show local art and photography we also have individuals that are performers that perform on bigger stages and have traveled through New York City but still love us as well," says Robin Raabe, co-owner of the cafe. "We want to make sure that everyone in the area sees and realizes the talent of local music and individuals."
