Local organization encourages residents to seek flood recovery relief

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - One local organization continues to make themselves known throughout Central New York, as a reliable source for support after the devastating Flood of 2013.

The Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) has stated that the number of people, who have reached out to them for help so far is disproportionately low compared to how many people that were affected in the area this past summer.

The Group wants residents affected to know that they are here for you, and that they are able to provide furniture, food, and help fulfill various other types of recovery needs.

"We're here to meet unmet needs whatever insurance providers and state programs can provide," said Dave Woodcock, Chairperson of the LTRG. "We want to make aware the programs that are available to them through the county and federal agencies."

If there is anything that the LTRG can't immediately provide for you, they will attempt to help residents through donations and grants from individual agencies, faith-based organization, and volunteers.
