Locals protest Oriskany schools "sit and stare" policy

By WKTV News

ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Members of the local organization "Opt-Out CNY" along with the "New York State Allies for Public Education" protested outside the Oriskany School Administration Building, Thursday.
They protested the administration for allegedly forcing children, who do not take the state tests, to "sit and stare" at the wall for the duration of the exams.

Should this be true, it would mean that the administration is forcing students to sit through 400 minutes of testing, with no books or other materials to keep them occupied.
