Loiacano found guilty of forcible touching of minor

Loiacano was found guilty of sexually touching a 15-year-old former student earlier this week.

He was found guilty after an almost 12-hour day in Herkimer Town Court on Wednesday. Loiacano was found guilty of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

Loiacano will be sentenced March 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the Herkimer Town Court.

After his sentencing, the Frankfort-Schuyler school board will vote on whether to terminate Loiacano's employment with the district.

He will be sentenced on March 11.

In a statement released by Frankfort-Schuyler School Superintendent Robert Reina, the safety and well-being of students was emphasized. Reina says ensuring safety is the district's paramount concern as it moves forward.

The statement also said the district had no indication of any other victims. Loiacano was placed on administrative leave immediately after his arrest on Aug. 19 and has been on leave since that time. He has been instructed to stay away from the school grounds and all students.
