Longtime advocate for marriage equality, Milford Decker, passes away

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Some call him the local face of marriage equality, but most called him a friend.

Milford Decker, a spokesperson for Pride along the Mohawk died over the weekend.

In his obituary it says Milford was not afraid to speak his mind, and that is how he will be remembered. He fought for gay and lesbian rights and was also vocal about the problem of bullying.

Milford is survived by five children and many grandchildren, along with his partner, Jeff Sterling.
