Looming sequestration cuts: Congressman Hanna weighs in
By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Congressman Richard Hanna (R) - 22nd District, is busy working with lawmakers on Capitol Hill as the clock ticks toward sequestration. Click the video to listen to WKTV's phone interview with Hanna.

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama is telling the nation's governors that "at some point we've got to do some governing," rather than "careening from manufactured crisis to manufactured crisis."

At a White House meeting Monday, he told the governors that the automatic spending cuts due to be triggered on Friday can be averted with "just a little bit of compromise."

Despite the looming deadline, there are no serious negotiations going on between the White House and Congress.
