WEBB, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Lowville man is now facing charges after authorities say he beat a woman at the cabin he owned at the Town of Webb.

According to New York State Police, Forest Rangers and officers from the Town of Webb Police Department responded to the cabin near Beaver River Station via snowmobile around 7 p.m. Saturday night, where they found a 42 year old female who they say had apparently been beaten by the cabin owners, Jeffrey Jordan, 41, of Lowville.

The case was then turned over to the New York State Police BCI in Herkimer for investigation.

The victim was transported to St Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, where she was treated for a broken left orbital bone as well as other minor bruises and lacerations.

Jordan was taken into custody at the scene and transported to St. Luke's Hospital in New Hartford where he was treated for minor injuries and released to State Police custody. Jordan was charged with one count of second-degree assault, and arraigned in the Town of Little Falls Court.

He was remanded to the Herkimer County jail on $35,000 cash / $70,000 bail bond.

State Police said that the investigation is continuing.
