(WKTV) - Mohawk Valley Community College's Center for Corporate and Community Education has announced open registration for a noncredit Personal Trainer Certification training.
The intensive course will provide the information and training needed to become a personal fitness trainer in one weekend.
The two-day program will include 16 hours of lecture, demonstrations and hands-on application. An online final exam will be taken after the class is complete.
There are no prerequisites to participate in the program. Text and materials are purchased separately for $65 on the day of the class. Please bring check or cash to receive materials. CPR certification needs to be obtained before final certification and a 10-hour internship and shadowing period is also required for final certification. Dress in gym clothes and bring lunch and a mat.
The course will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 10 at the Utica campus. The cost is $399.
