BROOKFIELD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The weather has finally held out and the Madison County Fair is underway, Thursday.
The Fair has taken place at the grounds on Fairground Road in Brookfield for the last 175 years, entertaining guests with traditional rides and farm shows.
However, aside from the traditional animals, you'll also find leopards and alligators there as well.
Attendance at the fair has picked up over the last five years with upwards of 20 thousand people attending the three-day event.
It has gained quite the reputation lately for being a great way for families to have fun outside for a very reasonable price.
"Where else can you go for $3 for the whole day?" said Josh Walker, Madison County Fair President. "It's free entertainment. You don't have to pay for anything but our grandstand shows.
"Our grandstand shows are $6."

There are also horse and cattle shows, truck pulls, and a big parade at 6 p.m.
