Major structure fire breaks out at old Agway building in Oneida

Update: Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire at this time, however, have stated that the building was owned by Gerald Shepard, who was storing cardboard boxes filled with paper and other misc. items inside.

Officials said that everything being stored was fairly combustible and is part of the reason the fire became so large. Also, the Loews hardware store is back open after closing Saturday due to smoke and debris. 

No one was hurt in the fire.
 
Oneida, N.Y. (WKTV) - A major structure fire broke out in the City of Oneida, Saturday.
 
According to the Oneida City Fire Department and Madison County Sheriff's Office, a structure fire broke out at an old Agway building at 1238 Hubbard Place.
 
According to officials, multiple fire crews are on the scene and attempting to tame the large fire that has created a billowing tower of black smoke.
 
No word on what caused the fire as of now, however the investigation is ongoing.
