Man accused of selling drugs in Utica pizza parlor

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A man is facing charges after authorities say he was selling drugs in a Utica pizza parlor.

Officers responded to Knock Out Pizza on Eagle Street in Utica around 1:30 p.m. For the report of a man inside the restaurant selling drugs. When they arrived, they spoke with Meris Alibasic, 19, of Utica, who said he did nothing wrong and that the officers could search him.

Police say they found that Alibasic had a large sum of money and was wearing two pairs of pants. Within one of the pairs of pants they found he had a baggie that contained a quantity of a substance believed to be heroin.

Alibasic has been charged with seventh, fifth and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
