Man accused of sexually abusing child for four years

(WKTV) - A 36-year-old man has been accused of sexually abusing a child over a period of four years, the Child Advocacy Center said.

Jesus Antonio Farias-Santiago, 36, has been charged with rape in the first degree.

Santiago is a native of Mexico, but has allegedly been in the United State illegally for the past 11 years, living mostly in Utica.

According to officials, Santiago has allegedly been sexually abusing a child under the age of 15 for the past four years.

He was sent to Oneida County Jail with cash bail set at $50,000. An Immigration and Custom Enforcement detainer has been filed with the jail.

The case was investigated to by Oneida County Sheriff's Investigator Sgt. Denise Luker, who is currently assigned to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
