Man accused of stealing more than $300 in razors from Rite Aid

NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man has been charged following a two-week investigation into an alleged robbery at the Rite Aid store on Commercial Drive in the Village of New York Mills.

According to Village Police, Thomas B. Berry Jr, 41, of Utica, was arrested on a warrant issued out of New York Mills Village Court.

Investigators say they handled a complaint and led the two-week investigation following the October 5 incident at the Rite Aid store. Police say Berry is alleged to have forcibly stole property consisting of more than $300 in razors and got into an altercation with the assistant store manager when attempting to leave the store.

Berry has been charged with one count of third-degree robbery and one count of petit larceny. He was arraigned in the New York Mills Village Court and sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000 bail.

The Oneida County District Attorney's Office Investigation Unit and Utica Police Department Warrants Unit assisted New York Mills Village Police with the investigation.
