Man accused of threatening troopers with knife

(WKTV) - A Town of Annsville man faces charges after he allegedly threatened troopers with a knife, New York State Police said.

Stephen J. Brown, 35, of the Town of Annsville, is charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest, felony menacing a police or peace officer and felony criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

According to officials, state police in Lee responded to a report of a suicidal man Friday on Spruce Lane in the Town of Annsville. Upon arrival, troopers were met by a man threatening them with a knife. The man was eventually taken into custody after resisting arrest, state police said.

Brown was sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 3.
