Man arrested in Utica found guilty of Bosnian war crimes

(WKTV) - Sulejman Mujagic, who was on trial in 

Bosnia for war crimes he was accused of committing against prisoners of war, has been found guilty.

Mujagic was sentenced Tuesday morning to eight and a half years in prison, and will get credit for the time he served in the United States.

Mujagic was apprehended by federal agents with the help of Utica police in November 2012. He hid out in Utica for at least 10 years.

Mujagic was accused of shooting a Bosnian prisoner at point-blank range, killing him. He was also accused of shooting another prisoner in the leg and forcing him to crawl up a hill while continuing to shoot at him.
