Man charged after loaded rifle found in motor vehicle

NEW BERLIN, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Chenango County man is facing charges after authorities say a loaded firearm was found in his car during a traffic stop.
According to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, Michael W. Stevens, 46, of New Berlin was charged with possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle.
Authorities said Stevens was found to be in possession of a loaded rifle following a traffic stop in the Town of New Berlin.
He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of New Berlin Court at a later date.
