Man charged for accident that caused phone outage in Dolgeville

DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Gloversville man has been charged after an accident that knocked out phone lines in Dolgeville Tuesday.

According to Dolgeville Police, Douglas S. Buseck, 42 went off the roadway on North Helmer Ave, striking a utility pole Tuesday morning, knocking out phone service to most of the village. Police say Buseck then left the scene in an attempt to hide the vehicle on Wolf Street.

Buseck was located by police and charged with imprudent speed, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, DWI and operating with a Blood Alcohol Content greater than .08%.

He was arraigned in the Town of Manheim Court released to a third party to appear in the Town of Manheim Court on July 18 at 4 p.m.
