Man charged with DWI in Boonville

BOONVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV)-Police say a man was arrested for drinking and driving in Boonville on Thursday night.

Nicholas Highers, 34 from the Town of Leyden drove his truck into a ditch on cone road, then drove back in another car, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

Highers refused a field sobriety test and a breath test. He was then charged with a felony DWI, his second in the last ten years.
He was taken to Lewis County Jail pending $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
