(WKTV) - A homeless man faces several charges after Chenango County Sheriff deputies say he tried to fight them after calling 911 for crashing a car that was allegedly stolen.

Adam Holt, 24, is charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, two counts of obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, four counts of harassment in the second degree, driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation.

According to officials, Holt contacted 911 and said he had been in a car accident and needed to be towed out of a ditch. Deputies say Holt was intoxicated, and is accused of attempting to resist arrest by spitting on, threatening, attempting to bite and kicking a deputy in the face.
