Man dead after early morning accident in Lewis County

HARRISVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Harrisville man is dead following a fatal accident in an early morning accident in Lewis County.

According to New York State Police, patrols responded to a one-car accident on High Street in Harrisville around 2:10 a.m. Tuesday morning. The investigation revealed that the accident involved a one-car rollover with one occupant, Richard A. Blundon, 49, of Harrisville, inside the vehicle.

Blundon was extricated from his vehicle by the Harrisville Fire Department and transported to Carthage Area Hospital by Guilfoyle Ambulance where he was pronounced dead at 3:51 a.m.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

State Police was assisted at the scene by Harrisville Fire/Ambulance, Lewis County Sheriff Dept., Guilfoyle Ambulance
