Man killed in accident in Camden

CAMDEN, N.Y. (WKTV) - According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Department, one man was ejected from his vehicle in a deadly accident early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 4:40am crews responded to Route 69 in the Town of Camden in the area of Johnny Cake Rd. for a report of a personal injury accident.

Investigation of the collision revealed that around 4:30am Coady Wines was driving his Chevrolet pickup truck westbound on Rt 69 when went off the road due to excessive speed.

When he attempted to correct, he swerved back into the eastbound lane, then back into the westbound lane.

That's when his vehicle flipped several times.

Wines was ejected from the vehicle.

EMS personell from Camden Fire Dept. and Camden Ambulance treated Wines and transported him to Rome ER where he was pronounced dead. The Sheriffs Office was also assisted by the New York State Police and the Camden Police Department.
