Man injured in overnight house fire in Clayville

CLAYVILLE, N.Y.(WKTV) - A single family home in Clayville was seriously damaged after a fire early Wednesday morning.

Officials say the fire at 6 Catlin Avenue broke out around 2:30 this morning.

When crews arrived, flames were seen shooting out of the kitchen and garage.

Clayville, New Hartford, Cassville and Sauquoit fire departments all responded to the scene.

We're told the fire was under control within about 30 minutes.

We're also told the owner of the home suffered a minor burn injury to his hand, but he's expected to be okay.

The fire started in the garage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
