Man injures leg in Utica hit-and-run


UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - An 18-year old man was injured when he was struck by a passing vehicle, Saturday night.

According to the Utica Police department, the victim was hit by another male driving an Audi, at around 8 p.m., at the intersection of Schuyler St. and Cleveland Ave. in Utica.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his leg in the incident, while the driver fled the scene immediately.

A "be on the lookout" alert was issued by the UPD for the vehicle involved, which is believed to be red or maroon in color.

While the driver has not yet been caught, officials say that the car may have been heading towards West Winfield.

An investigation is still ongoing.
