Man missing from Oneonta area found in Rome

(WKTV) - A man reported missing from Davenport Center was found early Thursday morning in Rome, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office said.

Robert Miller Sr., 85, was last seen at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and was reported missing and vulnerable because of various health conditions.

Around 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Oneida County 911 received numerous calls that a car was driving westbound in the eastbound lane of Route 49 in the City of Rome. Deputies located Miller driving his 2009 Kia westbound on Route 49 near the East Dominick Street exit.

Miller was in good health and was turned over to New York State Police for transport to Oneonta.
