Man pleads guilty in January's homicide at Geno's Tavern

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The man accused of the city's first homicide of the year in the City of Utica has pleaded guilty.

Antwuan March, 21, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter Wednesday morning in Oneida County Court.

March was accused of shooting and killing Umar Khadafy Abdur Rahman in the early morning hours of January 2, 2010 at Geno's Tavern in Utica.

March also pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon.

He now faces ten years in prison for the weapon charge and three and a third to ten years in prison on the manslaughter charge.

The sentences run concurrently, which basically amounts to ten years in prison.

March will be sentenced December 22.
