Man sentenced in summer shooting at Utica bar

(WKTV) - A man who pleaded guilty to firing a handgun during a bar fight in July was sentenced Monday.

Kilroy Brown was sentenced to 21 years in prison -- 10 years on a first-degree assault charge and 11 years added for parole violations.

Brown won't be eligible to get out until 2035.

He pleaded guilty in February for shooting Reginald Cromwell at Two J's Bar in East Utica on July 2. He was originally charged with attempted murder, but had since pleaded guilty to the assault charge.
