Man shot at graduation party under arrest

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police say the man shot at a graduation party over the weekend is now under arrest.

Police say Robert Lindo, age 28, is facing several charges including reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm.

He was shot in the leg in the area of West and Arthur Streets in Cornhill. Following the shooting, police investigated and learned that Lindo actually was in possession of a handgun and fired shots in the crowd himself. It is unclear if his wound came from his own gun.

At the time of the injury, Lindo was uncooperative with police.

Numerous spent shells casings from two different firearms were located in the area and a bullet hole was found in a building by the Johnson Park Center.

The investigation is continuing to find other people who may have been involved.
