Man wanted for questioning in gun burglaries found dead; woman arrested for burglary role

(WKTV) - A man wanted for questioning in two gun burglaries in the Town of Norwich was found dead Friday and a Norwich woman was arrested Wednesday for her role in the burglary, New York State Police said.

Brandy L. Bousson, 25, of Norwich is charged with burglarly in the third degree for her role in the Jan. 6 gun burglaries of Mayhood's Sporting Goods on State Route 12 in Norwich.

Christopher M. Gonzalez, 29, was wanted for questioning in reference to the burglaries. In the burglaries, at least 22 hand guns, several long guns and numerous boxes of ammunition were stolen.

Officials say during a search in the town of Norwich, Gonzalez was found dead in a wooded area off Guinn Ridge Road. The cause and manner of death is not known at this time, but an autopsy will be conducted.

The investigation is continuing.

Bousson is being held in Chenango County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash bail.
