Man who served time for mid 90s murders has current case adjourned

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man who served time in connection with a murder in the mid 1990's has been charged with grand larceny and possession of a forged instrument.

36 year old David Benner appeared in New Hartford Town Court on Thursday, but his case was adjourned until August 16.

Benner has a long rap sheet with charges of drug possession, possession of stolen property, and manslaughter for killing two roommates and burning their bodies in a car in the Riverside Mall parking lot in 1993.
