Many wait in line for food from Voss on opening day of 2012

YORKVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - It may have been chilly outside on Monday, but that didn't stop a tradition for many of stopping by Voss on opening day.

The grills were all fired up, the picnic tables were out, and the beef barbecue sandwiches were being served as many people waited in line for the seasonal restaurant in Yorkville, as it opened a little earlier than usual

The owners say that year after year, people line up for the local landmark eatery and their motto is "if it's not broke, don't try to fix it."

"We try not to change anything," said Valerie Voss. "It's the same as it was if you came here 20 years ago. You're going to get the same thing that you got then. It's a good price. We try to keep the prices low so you can bring your whole family to enjoy dinner."

Some say it just isn't Spring until they get lunch from Voss.
