Maple Weekend taps into Central New York

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - In an annual statewide event, Maple Weekend kicked off in a big way locally, Saturday.
People came out to Tibbits Maple and other maple facilities to learn about making pure maple syrup and maple products other products.
Tibbits Maple provided tours of their facility, samples of their products, recipes and cooking tips using maple products. 
Maple Weekend is run by the New York State Maple Producers Association.
"The current facility was built in 1984," said Karri, Tibbitts of Tibbitts Maple. "So we started here in this facility since 1984, but we've been Tibbitts Farm has been boiling maple syrup since early 1900s so we're fourth generation right now."

You can stop by Tibbitts from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day to enjoy their Maple Weekend festivities.
