March 2011 proclaimed "Red Cross Month" in City of Rome

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The City of Rome has proclaimed March 2011 as "Red Cross Month."

City officials made the proclamation Monday morning at Rome's City Hall.

City Council President John Mazzaferro stepped in for Mayor James Brown and said the city wants to thank the Red Cross for all that it does for area residents, as well as for people around the world.

The proclamation gives a special thanks to the volunteers who make make the Red Cross what it is - a life saver.
