"Meatball Madness" benefits taste-buds and Abraham House alike

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - An afternoon of meatballs was what you could find at the Hotel Utica on Sunday as part of the fourth annual "Meatball Madness" to benefit the Abraham House.

Paul Graziadei was the winner of the meatball eating contest. He won $200, a trophy and a tshirt plus bragging rights for eating 15 meatballs in two minutes.

During the event, restaurants competed for the public's vote on the favorite meatball recipe. Raspberries Cafe won three awards including: the People's Choice Award, the Celebrity Judges' Panel Award and the Kids' Choice Award. Cafe at Valley View won the Kids' Judge's Panel Award.

NEWSChannel 2's Don Shipman served as a celebrity judge, along with Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, Judge Ralph Eannace among others.
