Medical Examiner rules north Utica death a suicide

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police have stated that a man who was found dead in North Utica was not a homicide and died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Out of respect for the family, the name of the man is not being released, but his body was found around 9:18 p.m. Wednesday near 725 Mapledale Ave by a passerby.

After an autopsy was performed, the medical examiner ruled the cause of death to be a suicide.
