Meet Jenel Boston: WKTV welcomes morning co-anchor

UTICA, N.Y.(WKTV) - Jenel Boston Co-Anchors NEWSChannel 2 Daybreak and Sunrise with Don Shipman each weekday morning from 5:00am to 7:00am.

She is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Jenel grew up in Prince George's County, Maryland. Her love for television journalism began at the age of 16 when she began her internship at DC Public School TV in Washington, DC. While there, she worked as the Host of a public affairs show called "In Focus" and a General Assignment Reporter within the DC public school system.

She graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. Shortly after graduation, she began working for WUTB, My 24 in Baltimore, MD where she was quickly given a promotion as their first On-Air Personality.

She has always had a passion for News. She interned at WTTG, FOX 5 in DC while still working full time at WUTB, MY 24.

Jenel attributes her success to God and In her off time she serves as a TV Host and Correspondent for her church, Victorious Ministries International in Baltimore MD. She hosts the open and close for "Man Up" a weekly Christian men's talk show that airs on WUTB-TV, MY 24 in Baltimore.

Jenel loves spending time with her husband, an ordained Minister and her two children. She also enjoys shopping and watching a good movie.
