Memorial springs up where Frankfort teen was killed

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - A makeshift memorial now stands where a Herkimer College student lost her life in a car accident Monday morning.

The scene of the accident on Higby Road now has a cross and flowers along the roadway. New York State Police say Sara Testa, 19, was driving east on Higby around 5:30 a.m. Monday when she attempted to make a left turn and lost control. She hit a guide rail and was ejected from the vehicle.

The airborne car flipped onto its roof and landed on Testa, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Testa had just finished her first year at Herkimer College as a business administration major. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
