Meth lab broken up in Oriskany Falls, one man charged

(WKTV) - Police and emergency crews broke up a methamphetamine lab on Tuesday night on South Main Street in Oriskany Falls. Robert Williams, 52 , of 162 Main St., was taken into custody after Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies responded to his residence.

They received an anonymous complaint regarding drug-related activity.

Further investigation into the complaint by the Oneida County Sheriff's Narcotic Unit, Oneida County Drug Task Force, and the New York State Police led to the discovery of an methamphetamine lab.

The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Response Team secured various methamphetamine manufacturing materials, that were seized and sent for further testing. Also seized were several marijuana plants found both inside and outside the residence growing.

Williams was arraigned by the Town of Augusta justice for a charge of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and criminal possession of a controlled substance

He's being held at the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.

The investigation is continuing.
