OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Michael Buck, the man accused of shooting and killing his father, Joseph Buck, 64, in his Middlefield home in September, was indicted Wednesday on one count of murder in the second degree.

Buck was set to appear in Otsego County Court on Nov. 21, but the date was moved up because of a scheduling conflict.

The indictment stems from an early-morning incident Sept. 21, 2013. Buck is accused of shooting his father, Joseph in the Middlefield home where we're told he was temporarily staying with his father.

Michael Buck was shot in the cheek during the incident. His father was killed. Police say there were two handguns involved.

Buck is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 9 at 9:30 for a pre-trial conference.
