Milion dollar lotto ticket claimed at North Utica Byrne Dairy

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A new local lotto millionaire bought the winning ticket at Byrne Dairy in North Utica.

The winner has claimed the prize, but has not come forward to publicly reveal his or her identity.

For the store, it's meant increased sales and lots of excitement and hopeful phone calls, especially before the winner handed in the ticket.

Phone calls like this:

"I was wondering if you knew at what time the tickets were sold because I lost my ticket, but I was there between 8 and 11, so do you know which ticket is the winner?"

Store employees say they got at least two phone calls of that nature.

By the way, the winner played Sweet Millions.

The manager says the winner used Quick Pick to choose the winning numbers.
