Missing teenager found safe in Holland Patent

HOLLAND PATENT, N.Y. (WKTV) - Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol says 17 year old Antonio "AJ" Dousharm, left his home on Route 365 around 1:00 Saturday afternoon and was last seen walking into the woods behind his house.

He was located by a sheriff's deputy in that same wooded area around 6:00 Sunday morning.

His family had contacted the authorities last night, went he hadn't returned home. Sheriff's officials say Dousharm has special needs but did not elaborate on what those are.

When spotted Sunday morning, Dousharm actually fled from the deputy, but was located a short time later using thermal imaging equipment. The teen was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for treatment for exposure to the cold temperatures overnight.
