Mohawk Homestead receives grant toward window replacements

MOHAWK, N.Y. (WKTV) - A local adult home is getting a bit of a face lift, thanks to the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

The Foundation is giving the Mohawk Homestead roughly $8,000 that will enable the home to replace some worn windows, including those on a screened-in porch that the residents enjoy spending time in.

The money will also pay for wallpaper that will help maintain the old home's Victorian feel.
