UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Rescue Mission of Utica just collected more than 300 winter coats to give out this season to make sure fewer people go outside without the proper attire for the season.

It was part of the "Warm for Winter" clothing drive.

Bins were set up at Chanatry's Hometown Market in Utica, and employees from Mid-State Correctional Facility in Marcy, donated clothing.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi co-sponsored the drive.

He said the bins at the supermarket were filling up the first day they were put in the store.
