Morris woman faces drug-related charges

(WKTV) - A Morris woman brought to the authorities' attention because she was allegedly screaming outside a home faces drug-related charges, New York State Police said.

Amber N. Joy, 29, of Morris, is charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fourth degree, unlawful possession of marijuana and appearance in public under the influence of narcotics or drugs.

According to officials, on Monday, troopers received a report via 911 of a woman screaming outside a home on Main Street in Morris. When authorities arrived, they heard a woman yelling and screaming inside her home. Troopers also saw a bag on a table that contained about 2.3 grams of marijuana.

Joy was sent to the Otsego County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail.
