Most post offices close at noon Tuesday; some will remain open

(WKTV) - While most post offices will close on noon on Tuesday, several locations will stay open a little longer.

Regular mail delivery will be unaffected, however, blue collection boxes with a pickup time after noon may be collected early.

Post offices that will stay open later than noon include:

Edmeston, which will close at 4 p.m.; Frankfort, which will close at 5 p.m.; Lowville, which will close at 3 p.m.; Lyons Falls, which will close at 4:45 p.m. and New Berlin, which will close at 4:45 p.m.

Also, New Hartford, which will close at 2 p.m.; Oneida, which closes at 2 p.m.; Raquette Lake, which will close at 4:45 p.m. and Rome, which will close at 3 p.m.

Rome-Griffiss Tech Park will close at 12:30 p.m.; Sangerfield will close at 2 p.m.; Vernon will close at 1 p.m.; Yorkville will close at 3 p.m. and Utica PM will close at 3 p.m.

Post offices are closed on Christmas Day, but Priority Mail Express will be delivered on Dec. 25.

All post offices will be open regular hours on Dec. 26.
