Motorcycle driver sent to hospital after Van Hornesville accident

VAN HORNESVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - New York State Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that occurred in Herkimer County Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened shortly before 2:00 p.m. near the intersection of Route 80 and Chuyle Road in Van Hornesville.

A friend of the driver told NEWSChannel 2 that the victim was taken to Bassett Medical Center. The driver's condition has not been released.

The friend also says there was a group of motorcyclists riding together and they were going around a sharp turn curve when the driver lost control.

State Police are continuing their investigation.
