National Grid crews working to replace downed lines after storms

SALISBURY CENTER, N.Y. (WKTV) - In Salisbury Center, National Grid and Verizon crews spent part of the day replacing power and telephone lines that were blown into a field.

Crews say high winds are likely to blame for the damage. National Grid says they are calling in help from across the state to deal with the downed lines and power outages most of which are in western New York.

As of this writing, there were 23,000 homes are without power throughout New York State.
