New Berlin man faces drug charge after traffic stop

(WKTV) - A New Berlin man is charged with drug possession after a traffic stop in the Village of Oxford, the Chenango County Sheriff's Office said.

Joshua L. Thomas, 28, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

According to officials, about 11:15 a.m. Saturday the narcotics division made a traffic stop in the Village of Oxford. Following a search of the operator and his vehicle, Thomas was found to be in possession of heroin. He will appear in the Village of Oxford Court at a later date.
