New Berlin woman accused of DWI after crashing into Sherburne store

(WKTV) - A New Berlin woman faces charges after she allegedly drove into the Dollar General Store in Sherburne on Saturday, New York State Police said.

Meridee N. Carpenter, 51, of New Berlin, was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, as well as other traffic violations.

According to officials, officials responded to the report of a vehicle crashing into the Dollar General Store on Main Street in Sherburne and fleeing the scene. Troopers checked the area and located the suspected vehicle driving on Turnpike Road. An investigation determined Carpenter was intoxicated, with a reported 0.27 percent blood alcohol content.

She was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Sherburne Court.
