New Hartford American Legion members shave heads for soldiers

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Over seven members of the New Hartford American Legion shaved their heads for a good cause, Saturday.
The Legion held its first ever, "Hair Force Fundraiser," in order to benefit Sitrin's Military Rehabilitation Program.
In addition to the haircuts, the Legion also hosted a buffet, live music, and a visit from the Utica Comettes, while the team was in Binghamton taking on the Senators.
Nearly 200 people attended the event, with more than $2,000 being raised for the cause.
"Freedom is not free, but we all agree that cutting out hair is a small sacrifice compared to those who have lost their limbs and also lost their life for freedom," said Legion member, Frank Verminski.

Barbers from Next Level Barber Shop kindly volunteered their time Saturday for the cause.
